Biography
Specialising in limb arthroscopy, joint replacement surgery, robotic total knee arthroplasty, direct anterior hip arthroplasty, computer navigated arthroplasty, joint revision surgery and management of Infected Joint Arthroplasty.

Associate Professor Wilson is a driven medical professional with a strong commitment to ensure his patients fully recover and rapidly return to their daily activities. He has completed surgical training both in Australia and Scotland, which means he brings with him a broad understanding of the current trends and the latest advancements in this field.

He has completed a PhD studying advances in revision knee surgery and robotic knee surgery.

A/Prof. Wilson also plays an active role as a member of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia and the research team at the Australian National Joint Registry. He regularly contributes to the field of research and advancing the knowledge of orthopaedics.

Research Initiatives
Being an avid organiser and passionate advocate of research, A/Prof. Wilson strongly promotes orthopaedic research to improve on existing practices in the field. A/Prof. Wilson is currently leading a series of innovative research studies aimed at developing further innovation in the field of orthopaedics and joint replacement surgery. His research has recently focused on areas such as robotic technology in orthopaedic surgery, post-operative pain relief for patients after joint replacement and the management of surgical infections. His research and that of the teams he supervises are published in scientific journals and regularly presented both throughout Australia and overseas.

Personal Interests
Chris is actively engaged in his local community and donates as a volunteer at the Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club. When not at the beach, Chris is also involved with local sporting clubs, whilst also being a proud sponsor of Glenelg District Cricket Club.
