Dr. Wilson is a driven medical professional with a strong commitment to ensure his patients fully recover and rapidly return to their daily activities. He has completed surgical training both in Australia and Scotland, which means he brings with him a broad understanding of the current trends and the latest advancements in this field. Dr. Wilson also plays an active role as a member of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia and regularly contributes to the field of research and advancing the knowledge of orthopaedics.
Being an avid organiser and passionate advocate of research, Dr. Wilson strongly promotes orthopaedic research to improvise on existing practices in the field. Dr. Wilson is currently leading a series of innovative research studies aimed at developing further innovation in the field of orthopaedics and joint replacement surgery. His research has recently focused on areas such as surgery, the technology implications of orthopaedic surgery and pain relief for patient after joint replacement. His research and that of the teams he oversees are regularly presented throughout Australia and overseas.
Dr. Wilson is a Consulting Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Repatriation General Hospital (since March 2011) and a Visiting Medical Specialist at Alice Springs Hospital (since September 2010). He is a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University (since November 2013).
Chris is actively involved in the local community and donates his time to Surf Lifesaving SA by patrolling Brighton beach. He is the current Vice President of Brighton SLSC. When not at the beach, Chris is heavily involved in his son’s sporting commitments with Scotch Football and Cricket Clubs, whilst also being the proud lead sponsor of The Scotch Cricket Club.
